The Bombay rains have been nothing but unpredictable with its come and go attitude never ceasing to amaze us, so we decided to give you some more work wear inspo so you are not stuck tomorrow morning with the perennial question “What do I wear today?” We started off by picking a body con dress from Evita’s wardrobe. The stripes and front slit added extra interest. Layer with a Crisp White Shirt inside to give the look more polish.

Now just coz it’s work, it does not mean your accessories need to be boring. Add a cool necklace such as this sailor inspired one. The stripe on stripe camouflage’s perfectly to give a subtle effect for work. Keep your earrings simple. For shoes during the rainy season, look no further than Melissa. We are in love with these wedges, they are perfect for running around and the colours work well with our work wardrobe. Finish off your look with a bright, printed umbrella because this is one area where you can let go and have fun no matter how strict the dress code 😉

Evita works as a PR Executive with Peepul Consulting and is probably one of the most nurturing and loving people you will ever meet..Always the quickest person to offer you some delicious fruit out of some classic Tupperware :)

Love,

Nelly & Aarthi

The dress/skirt over trousers trend is something that we would liked to have seen more of rather than just seeing it on international street style blogs. But we hope this post will make you more experimental. To keep it simple we went for a denim on denim look. The length is very important while sporting this trend. Anywhere between below the knee and above the ankle works. With so much fabric it is better to go for a crop white shirt to give a glimpse of skin. A fitted trench or jacket is much needed to complete the look. Accessory wise a backpack is a no brainer but add colour to your look via shoes since the rest of your look has dull tones and you need something fun to cheer you up during the rains. Keep your jewellery to a minimum – a simple cuff and a brooch since our look didn’t have any prints. Lastly don’t forget to carry that brolly.

Carol Humtsoe is a very interesting freelance model living in Mumbai from Nagaland. She’s fun and experimental and really down to earth.
